BS8601:2013 specifies the requirements for the classification, composition, and use of subsoils for creating soil profiles intended to support plant growth. Our stocks of BS8601 are fully certified. Subsoil stores and transmits moistureto deeper layers, ensuring healthy plant establishment and growth from tree pit to border, lawn, and planting bed.
Working with independent soil scientists, MCM can provide certification on request and can select the right soil for the right ground preparation on nationwide construction projects. Contact us or call 0330 1281030 to request certification.
First-use or primary aggregates are normally from a quarry and have not been used before. This covers all sands, gravels, crushed stones, and certain slags. MCM source locally to the customer site, reducing carbon footprint, emissions and contributing to a healthier environment.
Recycled or Secondary Aggregates have been used, recovered, cleaned and sold as an economic and sustainable alternative, avoiding committing more material to landfill.
