Waste Management

Site Investigation

The MCM team have been managing the assessment and removal of hazardous and contaminated waste for over 20 years. Via our network of tips, remediation centres and landfill sites, we have safely removed hazardous waste, swiftly and effectively, from tens of thousands of sites, disposing of more than 300,000 tonnes of waste in the process.

Assessment and On-Site Inspection

If site personnel know of discover potentially hazardous material on site, MCM can visit, inspect and investigate.  Checking the potential contamination on site, initially by visual and olfactory assessment, MCM conduct deeper investigations, for example when checking for the presence of coal-tar, using specialist tools and materials. This gives a better indication of the presence in the layers and indicates the thickness of layers potentially affected. Significant break-out areas are marked and reinspected for further assessment.

Report and Assessment

With referenced site maps and a full report of findings, assessment results and recommendations, material can be classifed as hazardous or non-hazardous and remediation recommended.  Whatever the outcome of this assessment, MCM can remove and manage this waste at our approved licensed facilities.  This allows the swift and safe continuity of work, giving you site confidence and allowing your project to progress.
