Hydraulically Bound Materials (HBM)
Made using recycled material, HBM is a sustainable sub-base aggregate alternative to the primary material. At a significant cost saving to its primary counterparts, it hits environment targets as well as healthier bottom lines.
In terms of cost and environmental benefit, HBM suits the construction of temporary surfaces and piling mats. Its consistency means it is easier and cheaper to remove than muck away and can be reused once more. It is a more effective and sustainable option.
MCM has 3 different HBM products to suit your specific construction project:

- 50mm down HBM: Suitable for road surfacing, piling mats, or any other 6f2/capping layer uses and as an alternative to 6f5.
- 20mm down Lean Mix HBM: A cost-effective alternative suitable for curbs or other C15 concrete mix uses.
- 0/4mm Cement Bound Sand HBM: Suitable as a bedding layer, ideal for paving slabs. Consists of recycled sharp sand and cement.
