Granite
Type 1 is Graded 40mm down to dust for easy compaction, and due to the range of particle sizes, it has excellent load-bearing quality. Complies with MOT (or DOT) Type 1 specification for granular sub-base for Highway Works, clause 803 (SHW 803).
Available in a variety of grades including:
- 2-6mm, 4-20mm, and 10-63mm – for use in a permeable paving application
- 40mm single size
- Type 1
MOT Type 1 is commonly used as a sub-base for the construction of highways, car parks, footpaths, driveways, hard standings, and building bases.
